Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our salon FAQs and Policies before booking your appointment. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact us at hello@thebeautyassembly.com.
The time that you schedule at The Beauty Assembly is reserved for you alone. We know how important your time is and take that seriously, meaning we never over-book or double-book clients and therefore keep on schedule. We’re rarely able to accommodate clients who arrive in excess of 10 minutes late or add additional services to a scheduled appointment, and this may result in a cancellation fee equal to the cost of the appointment.
We cannot stress enough how damaging no-shows are to a small business. Should you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment please provide at least 24hrs notice to avoid a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost of the scheduled service. Clients who “no-show” will be charged the full value of the treatment. If you need to cancel an appointment please call the salon or if it is outside our opening hours, please email us.
If you would like nail art with your manicure please select the appropriate treatment when booking. If you are not sure which to book feel free to get in touch and we can advise. You are more than welcome to bring a photo of your chosen design on the day, and you can see the designs our team have created on either on our Instagram @TheBeautyAssembly_ or the inspiration page of our website.
The Beauty Assembly specialises in gel polish treatments, with most of our clients benefiting from weeks of chip-free, high-shine nails. We offer a 7 day guarantee on all our gel polish treatments. If your nails chip within this time frame please let us know and we will book you in for a complimentary repair as soon as possible.
Please book a Soak Off or let us know if you require any gel polish removing before your treatment, otherwise we may not have time to carry out your full treatment. Arriving with normal polish is fine, and please be aware that we do not remove any form of extensions (acrylic or gel) in The Beauty Assembly.
We require clients wanting any tinting for the first time to come in for a patch test at least 24 hours before their appointment. There is no need for an appointment – just pop in any time within our opening hours or call ahead if you’re unsure on the best time to come in. We also ask clients wanting to book after a break of 3 months or more or those who have had their tint done elsewhere to get a new patch test with us to ensure no allergies have developed in this time.
We are indeed! All our nail treatments, wax, tint and aftercare products are vegan & cruelty-free. Even our famous BIAB manicure is vegan & cruelty free. We also try to make eco-conscious decisions wherever possible including using biodegradable towels, recycled toilet paper & refilling our cleaning products at a local refill shop. Please see our blog page for more info on this.
We absolutely do, we love Hen Parties and Brides getting ready for the big day in our salon. Because of our size if you are a party of 6 or more you will have exclusive use of the salon at no extra cost. Please email the salon if you would like to enquire about this. We would recommend booking at least 3 months in advance for group bookings. We can also team up with our neighbours Out of The Woods to provide catering for you in the salon.
Yes, you'd still need a patch test with us as every brand of tint is different. Please be aware that any salon that doesn’t require a tint test wouldn’t be insured against any adverse reactions.
Yes we do offer gift vouchers, valid on any treatment up to 12 months from purchase. They can be bought on our website here to be emailed to the recipient, or if you would prefer one of our physical gift vouchers you are welcome to pop in to the salon to collect one.
As a general rule we would always advise booking in advance as The Beauty Assembly gets exceptionally busy. However, we do occasionally have gaps & cancellations so it is always worth trying to call or pop in.
The Beauty Assembly is indeed wheelchair friendly for all our manicure treatments. Our pedicures are carried out on a raised platform which is not wheelchair friendly however we can still offer you all our pedicure treatments whilst you remain in your wheelchair, please just let us know in advance so we can ensure a space is kept available. There are disabled access toilets a stones throw away in The DoubleTree Hilton.
You are more than welcome to bring your child to The Beauty Assembly however, we are unable to provide childcare supervision for children ourselves and the salon does get very busy. Therefore please be mindful of how long your appointment will be, and that you will be unable to use your hands during your appointment.
We can offer you all our treatments if you are 16 and older.
Dogs are not only welcomed but encouraged! We are huge dog lovers in the TBA and work closely with the Romanian dog rescue Lucky's Legacy Rescue to fund raise and also raise awareness of gorgeous dogs they have for adoption.
We are really lucky to have great parking here which is rare for a city centre salon. Parking is only £2 if you are visiting the salon (pay on arrival to the carpark) and spaces are always available. The postcode for the carpark is LS1 4GJ. It is on Wharf Approach which is just off Water Lane. Head to the yellow box under the first arch and they will help you get parked up.
